Transition, Migration, and Implementation

TMI

Verizon Business has successfully managed the movement of many existing networks to the FTS2001 Contract, including the transition of a large number of networks previously provided to the government by an FTS2000 vendor. Today, Verizon Business performs migration and implementation projects under the FTS2001 Bridge Contract using strategies designed to satisfy our government customers’ goals and objectives.

Migration involves transferring services from existing networks to the FTS2001 Bridge Contract. Implementation is the process of installing a new service.

Migration and implementation of services to the FTS2001 Bridge Contract can be a complex endeavor, requiring extensive planning, coordination, and attention to detail to manage multiple service requirements across multiple government agencies. Verizon Business and its government customers plan and execute these services as a "total systems effort."

To assist Government agencies with their planning, Verizon Business maintains a comprehensive inventory database of agency services. Verizon Business provides a Monthly Inventory Database Report to the GSA Networx Transition Management team, which is creating a Networx Transition Baseline Inventory tool for the agencies. Agencies can gain access to this information via GSA’s tool or by contacting their Verizon Business account team.
