FTS2001 Bridge
Through the FTS2001 Bridge Contract with the General Services Administration (GSA), Verizon Business offers a wide range of flexible telecommunications products, services, and feature functionality to the federal government. Backed by Verizon's local-to-global-to-local network, the Verizon Business FTS2001 Bridge Contract provides a comprehensive suite of services that will evolve with agency requirements and technological innovations in the communications industry.
Verizon Business was awarded the FTS2001 Bridge Contract in July 2006 (effective January 2007), to continue services provided under the FTS2001 Contract. It also allows for new services to be added via modifications to the Contract.

GSA Connections
The General Services Administration (GSA) Connections contract provides customers with a vehicle that can be used to purchase a broad range of telecommunications equipment and services with which to build end-to-end solutions. The Connections contract offers flexibility and choice by providing equipment, labor, and turnkey solutions to meet a variety of telecommunications infrastructure requirements. It is designed to provide a customer with everything they need from the desktop to the point of interconnection with their network service provider. Verizon was awarded all three categories: equipment, support services (professional services) and solutions. A solutions package from Verizon can include everything from initial design, integration, and implementation to equipment and maintenance. Network transport is not included in the Connections contract. However, it is available through other Verizon Contracts.

U.S. House of Representatives (Wide Area Data Communications)
Through this contract, Verizon provides wide area frame relay, private line and Internet services to the U.S. House of Representatives. Offering virtual "bandwidth on demand," Verizon Hyperstream Frame Relay handles the demanding data transmission requirements of Members of Congress. Verizon also supports Members with advance capabilities that include terminal-to-host connections, data file transfers, and electronic mail.

Verizon Business holds the existing WITS2001 contract, which was awarded in 2000 and expires in January 2008. WITS 3 includes local voice, video and data services, such as voice over IP, Internet access and Ethernet services; fiber-optic services; and products and services for continuity of operations planning (COOP) for federal agencies. WITS 3 also will serve as a platform for federal customers seeking to transition to the GSA Networx program over the next decade.
With WITS 3, you can order multiple products and services from various vendors and still receive a single bill. Verizon Business’ Service@once™ and Bill@once™ support systems provide on-line access to integrated ordering, billing, provisioning, trouble reporting and inventory systems. WITS 3 customers can continue to conveniently order services via telephone, fax, mail, e-mail, or the online Service@once™ system.

Defense Information System Agency (DTS-P)

Defense Metropolitan Area Telephone System - Boston (DMATS-Boston)
Verizon Federal was awarded a delivery order under the Army's Digital Switched Systems Modernization Program (DSSMP) to provide voice and data communications support services to four major military installations and their satellite locations in the Boston area.
DMATS-Boston, a subordinate unit of the U.S. Army 1108th Signal Brigade and the U.S. Army Signal Command, provides communication services to military installations in the Boston metropolitan area, including Hanscom AFB, Devens RFTA, Natick Army Labs as well as the Barnes Federal Building.
Under the delivery order, Verizon Federal acts as a single point of contact for telecommunications services, handling all procurements, installations and maintenance requests for nearly 70 military agencies with 14,000 personnel.
Verizon Federal will also provide the personnel, administration, management, maintenance and materials required to support the existing DMATS communications network design. Verizon Federal will develop a more efficient network design encompassing updated communications technologies.

DREN
Through the Defense Research Engineering Network (DREN) contract, Verizon provides state-of-the-art Wide Area Networking services to support the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). These services also support other users in a number of technical, engineering and scientific communities. The DREN is a vital part of the HPCMP as the network that links these users together. After the initial network and 78 DREN SDP’s were transitioned to Verizon between January and June of 2003, the network grew to over 100 SDP’s in the first year alone.

Through the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) program, Verizon delivers enterprise-wide managed information technology services to sailors, Marines, and civilian personnel. As part of an EDS-led Information Strike Force team, Verizon helps NMCI provide the Navy and Marine Corps with secure access to integrated voice, video, and data communications, pier-side connectivity to Navy vessels in port, desktops across the United States, and selected overseas sites. Installation, Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP)
I3MP is a task order, turnkey solutions-oriented vehicle with a competitive structure and a streamlined acquisition process. The program provides end-to-end solutions for integrating voice and data traffic. The modernization program offers state-of-the-art and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) installations and upgrades for switching systems, infrastructure and networking.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAATSAT)
In 1996, the former MCI was chosen by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide satellite-based voice and data communications services under the FAA Telecommunications Satellite (FAATSAT) Contract. Today, our network connects 106 FAA air traffic control facilities via satellite, provides primary and backup communications, and provides an alternative to terrestrial-based communications systems.

Federal Aviation Administration (LINCS and LINCS Bridge)
Since 1991, the former MCI and now Verizon has provided highly reliable communications services to the nation's air traffic control system. Through the Leased Interfacility NAS Communication System (LINCS), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) provides critical voice and data communications to the nation's aviation industry to help ensure reliable service at over 5,000 FAA and U.S. military locations.

Verizon serves as the Managed Network Services (MNS) provider for the United States Postal Service.
