Ray is senior vice president of Conferencing and Collaboration Services, responsible for growing revenue, taking market share, and ensuring a world-class customer experience for all audio, net conference and video conference services as part of the implementation of Verizon Business’ unified communications and collaboration strategy.
In his last position, Wierzbicki was vice president – Global Customer Service and Delivery, a position he held since December 2003, responsible for delivering a “world class” customer service experience to Verizon’s largest Business Customers. Ray’s responsibility included the implementation of a single-point-of-accountability model for customers on a global basis, end-to-end service delivery, Single Stack requirements and implementation, and leadership initiatives to improve the customer experience.
Prior to the Global Customer Service position, Wierzbicki was vice president – Telecom Process Assurance responsible for end-to-end analysis of key processes – from the way a customer orders our service, to the steps in service delivery, through billing and service assurance. These initiatives were implemented to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and improve the customer experience.
Before moving to Network Process Assurance, he served as group president – Wholesale Unbundled/Resale Services. His responsibilities were to provide CLECs and IXCs with the information and customer support they needed to plan, implement and maintain a business relationship with Verizon Wholesale Services. In addition, he was responsible for Program Management of Verizon’s 271 Long Distance applications at the State and Federal level.
Wierzbicki has also served as vice president – Network Systems for Bell Atlantic where he was responsible for all systems development and maintenance for Service Provisioning and Service Assurance systems. Wierzbicki also served in a variety of senior management positions during his nine years in the Information Technology Organization. During this period, he was responsible for a variety of initiatives including process reengineering, co-chair of Year 2000 Program for Network Systems, and IT team lead for merger planning for the NYNEX/Bell Atlantic and Bell Atlantic/GTE mergers.
Wierzbicki received his degree in business administration from St. Peter’s College and worked in a family business before joining New York Telephone in 1980 as a part-time sales representative in the Phone Center stores. Wierzbicki earned a Master of Business Administration degree at Pace University in 1988. Ray is married and lives in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ with his wife, Bernadette, and their daughter, Hope.
