Direct Attached Storage (DAS)
DAS allows servers to write to external storage arrays, expanding server capacity beyond the disk capacity of the internal storage bays. Verizon supports DAS devices for Windows, Sun Solaris, and Red Hat Linux servers.
Network Attached Storage
A dedicated server-storage device that links several servers to a single storage device via TCP/IP over Ethernet.
Storage Area Network
