Call Flow Change for Axtel Domestic Card with International Worldwide Access Collect Access Number

The call flow for the Axtel Domestic Card with Worldwide Access Collect Access number (01-800-021-1000) has been changed to prevent pranksters from generating un-billable calls and harassing Operator Services. These calls are now routed to an automated ARU for termination as opposed to having the Spanish queue handle it manually. Callers must enter a valid terminating number before a "live" Operator can be reached. Here is the call flow:

  • Dials using the Domestic Card using Worldwide Access Collect Access number 01-800-021-1000.
  • Hears the Domestic Card with Worldwide Access greeting and menu options (in Spanish).
  • A script will instruct you to press "1" to make a collect call.
  • You are then routed to the automated ARU after pressing "1."
  • The ARU will ask you to enter the terminating number.
  • You must enter a valid terminating number before an Operator can be reached. (After entering a valid terminating number, an Operator can be reached by pressing "0" or letting the call time out.)

If an invalid terminating number is entered, you will be prompted to check your number and try again and then routed to dead air after the error message is heard.
